Richard N. Lynch LEC, LL.B (HONS)

Mr Lynch’s practice involves all aspects of the law relating to criminal litigation, family law, conveyancing (real estates), probate & administration of estates and Proceeds of Crime matters to include asset recovery, money laundering and confiscation. He is an experienced defence attorney who has appeared in the several Courts of Jamaica, namely, the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court (Circuit) and Parish Courts. In addition, Mr Lynch regularly advises clients on issues relating to firearm licenses and makes representations before the Firearm Licensing Authority Review Board.
He is highly regarded amongst his peers and the judiciary. Most recently, Mr Lynch successfully challenged an application by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution for a virtual complainant to give evidence by video link in the matter of the Queen v. Kimeo Green [2018] JMSC Crim 3. This decision is a landmark case because it represents the first time that the prosecution’s application for evidence by video link was successfully challenged by a criminal defence attorney. Mr Lynch defends and represents individuals and corporations in serious and high profile criminal matters.
Mr Lynch was called to the bar in 2016. He is a graduate of the Norman Manley Law School and the University of the West Indies holding a Bachelor of Laws Degrees with Upper Second Class Honours. Mr Lynch is a proud alumni of the Jamaica College and Ardenne High School and is a member of the Jamaica Bar Association.
